Spring
Choosing seasonal flowers for a wedding in Spring is a refreshing reminder of the longer days and warmer weather to come and Spring blooms will forever be a reminder of your special day. It is a time of new beginnings and of the promise of brighter days to come with many of the flowers of a softer and more delicate nature. Foliage and blossom trees are emergent at this time signifying a beauty that will unfurl during this season. By late Spring Peonies and alliums take bloom and burst into splendour!

Narcissus, Muscari, Tulips, Anemones, Ranunculus, Snowflakes, Primrose/Cowslip, Hellebores, Wallflowers, Crocus, Hyacinth, Forget me nots, Brunnera, Fritillaria, Red Champion, Lungwort, Reticulate Iris, Bearded Iris, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Scorpion Grasses, Forsythia, Clematis Armundii, Peonies, Alliums Hawthorn Blackthorn and other blossom
We grow many interesting and unusual varieties of Narcissi that come into bloom at this time of year these will undoubtably feature heavily offering many shades of yellow through to white against the deep green stems. Double and parrot tulips bursting into ruffled blooms can offer subtle pastel tones or more vibrant deep purples and pinks. Ranunculus and Anemones are abundant at this time of year offering bright pops of colour and texture to bouquets as well as being a favourite for bud vases and tablescapes. We also love using Hellebores to provide incredible structure and movement to arrangements and are also a great option for buttonholes. Snowflakes are a taller and more elegant option to snow drops and are great for Kenzan bowl arrangements for tablescapes. If you are seeking to include the traditional ‘something blue’ then look no further than Brunnera or early flowering forget-me-nots which will compliment bright spring pastels perfectly Spring is also known for emerging and zingy green foliage, our favourites are Pittosporum, catkins and wispy twisted willow for added texture to bouquets and arrangements. Sprigs of blossom particularly airy, white blackthorn blossom or malus are perfect for this time of year!
Colour palette
The base palette for Spring would be green, white and yellow. However, pops of blue can be introduced with Forget-me-nots, Iris and Hyacinth. Warmer red and purple can be added with Fritillaria, Hellebores and Wallflowers. Whilst pastel shades can be added with Anemones, for example.
As much as we adore the bright spring pastels, it is still possible to add strong colours such as deep purples, bright pinks and orange tones with Ranunculus being a striking way to add spring florals with more dramatic colour and texture. Forsythia, Clematis and various blossoms can provide structure and stature to arrangements at this time of year.
